7月18日，广州市气象部门消息，受偏南方向移近的雷雨云团影响，预计广州市越秀区、天河区将有中到强雷雨，并伴有7至8级阵风和雷电。从18日13时43分起，广州市越秀区、天河区雷雨大风黄色预警信号生效。
目前，广州越秀、海珠、荔湾、天河、黄埔、白云、花都、番禺等区雷雨大风黄色预警信号生效，白云区暴雨黄色预警信号生效。
