历史上，朱鹮曾广布东亚，因环境变迁与人类活动，野外种群一度近乎绝迹。1981年5月23日，中国科学家在秦岭深处的陕西省汉中市洋县，找到了当时全球仅存的7只野生朱鹮。守护 “东方宝石”，一场长达45年的保护接力就此展开！截至2025年底，全球朱鹮种群规模超1.2万只，栖息地扩展至2万余平方公里。秦岭一抹朱红，是中国给世界的生态答案。
