当地时间7月13日，美国总统特朗普称，“我们要接管霍尔木兹海峡，而伊朗一无所有。”
伊朗外交部长阿拉格齐13日在社交平台发文表示，关于霍尔木兹海峡管理和船舶通行事宜，伊朗将继续与阿曼在政治和技术层面进行磋商。伊朗波斯湾海峡管理局当天在社交平台表示，由于美军最近的“敌对行动”，目前霍尔木兹海峡已不可通行。
