7月6日，微软（MSFT.US）董事长兼首席执行官纳德拉做客斯坦福大学，在谈及量子计算时，纳德拉表示，量子不会取代经典计算，而是要将两者结合起来才能真正做成事情。
此外，微软预计将在2030年前建成实用规模的量子计算机，彻底改写材料科学与医药化学。
