今天，云南省连接红河哈尼族彝族自治州和玉溪市的弥勒至玉溪高速公路全线通车运营，两地通行时长由原来的2小时缩短至1小时10分钟，惠及沿线近200万名群众。
弥玉高速公路主线全长117.998公里，采用双向六车道标准建设，全线建有桥梁102座、隧道13座。
