6月19日，日本外务大臣茂木敏充宣布，7月1日起，外国人单次入境签证和多次入境签证的费用将分别上涨至15000日元（约630元人民币）和30000日元（约1260元人民币）。
目前日本单次入境签证费用为3000日元（约126元人民币），多次入境签证（可在有效期内多次入境）费用为6000日元（约250元人民币）。
