The Iranian national football team has been required to set up their World Cup base camp in Tijuana, Mexico, instead of the United States, where they will play all their group stage matches, leading to questions about fairness. The Iranian squad arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon and began preparing for their first group match. A CGTN stringer interviewed people in the border city of Tijuana about the controversy, which resulted from a US ban. Local journalist Daniel Andrade stated that politics should not interfere with global events.
