6月5日，美国证交会(SEC)表示，富兰克林旗下的西方资产管理(Western Asset Management)已同意支付1亿美元的民事罚款，以了结SEC对其前联席首席投资官Ken Leech涉嫌6亿美元「选择性投资」(cherry-picking)的欺诈指控。
这也是SEC在美国总统特朗普第二任期宣布的最大和解协议之一。
2024年11月25日，SEC对Ken Leech提出欺诈指控，指后者至少在2021年1月至2023年10月期间涉嫌「不公平公正」的选择性投资，导致自己独自管理的基金获得了超过6亿美元的首日净收益，而与其他基金经理共同管理的另外两只基金则蒙受了超过6亿美元的首日净亏损。
