5月26日，湖北恩施市白果乡一栋民房发生垮塌，目击者称垮塌瞬间“像搞爆破一样”。恩施市政府办及白果乡政府回应，多部门已到场处置，两人擦伤，无人被埋压。
目击者称事发房屋建了近三十年，房主一家居住并开设店铺及惠农通服务点，当时一取钱顾客恰好跑出。
隔壁商户称附近居民已疏散至居委会避险。截至26日14时，恩施市政府办表示多部门仍在现场处置，事故原因正在调查。
