新华社东京5月20日电（记者梁晨 陈泽安）据日本气象厅消息，日本冲绳县附近海域20日发生5.9级地震。
日本气象厅说，地震发生在当地时间20日11时46分（北京时间10时46分）左右，震中位于北纬27.5度、东经128.6度，震源深度约50千米，震级为5.9级。目前无需担心发生海啸等灾害。（完）
