南方财经4月21日电，英国首相斯塔默4月20日说，他不该将彼得·曼德尔森任命为英国驻美大使，自己对这一决定负责。斯塔默当天下午对议会表示，在曼德尔森赴任驻美大使前，英国外交部官员曾于2025年1月违背安全审查部门的建议，对其授予高级审查许可，使其顺利赴任。但当时外交部相关官员并未告知自己这一信息，自己对此感到“震惊”。（新华社）
