This passion eventually will become a remembrance. However what happened in the old times was a pity.

Moon Goddess should regret ever having stolen the elixir ,and feel lonely

night after night by looking over the azure sea and the blue sky.

The spring silkworm spins till death by running out of the yearning thread, and the candle torch burns into ash by drying all of the tearing drops.

It’s hard for us to meet just as it’s hard for us to part. The eastern wind languishes just as numerous flowers wither .

Although I don’t have the two wings of a colored phoenix ,I still can easily communicate with you by my sensitive heart.

My thoughts for love should not compete with the flowers by blooming together, because each inch of my lovesickness will inevitably become an inch of ashes as those of the flowers.(Li Shangyin. of Tang Dynasty)
