据塔斯尼姆通讯社等多家伊朗媒体11日报道，鉴于在巴基斯坦首都伊斯兰堡进行的密集磋商以及伊巴领导人会见取得的进展、以色列在黎巴嫩的袭击得到限制，加上美方接受解冻伊朗资产的提议，伊美双方决定启动谈判。
稍早前，美国白宫否认美方同意解冻伊朗资产的说法。
