以色列能源和基础设施部当地时间4月2日宣布，美以伊战事初期停运的该国最大海上天然气田利维坦气田将恢复运营。声明称，一旦新增钻井平台投运，当地天然气供应将开始增加，出口也将恢复。
以色列国内天然气供应一直依赖于该国第二大气田塔马尔气田，利维坦气田主要向埃及和约旦出口。
