据央视新闻：中国地震台网正式测定，4月2日6时48分在印尼马鲁古海峡（北纬1.20度，东经126.35度）发生7.4级地震，震源深度30千米。
印尼气象、气候和地球物理局测定的震级为7.6级。美国地质调查局测定的震级为7.8级。美国海啸预警系统显示，这次地震可能引发海啸，影响范围涵盖印尼、菲律宾及马来西亚，距震中1000公里以内区域。
