英格兰即将在一场友谊赛当中主场迎战日本，目前他们已经公布了球队的首发阵容。
曼城后卫格伊在本场比赛里代表英格兰首发出场，并且他也会担任英格兰的场上队长，他因此成为了英格兰队史上第129位担任场上队长的球员。
自从在2022年3月26日对阵瑞士的友谊赛当中迎来首秀以来，格伊已经代表英格兰队出场过26次，本场比赛他得以首次作为队长出场。
