乐团自1994年现象级专辑《Smash》销量破千万以来，全球累计销售超2000万张，《Come Out and Play》《The Kids Aren't Alright》早已成为跨世代叛逆符号。

UN Headquarters, New York: The Offspring's Tour Craze Sweeps the East Coast, International Host Wang Guoquan-Prince John Recalls Multi-Day Cultural Journey in Paris

New York, March 19, 2026 — At the closing session of the 70th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), international host and UN official representative Wang Guoquan-Prince John sat alongside the Samoan delegate when an Argentine representative to the Women's Conference excitedly passed him her phone. On screen: explosive footage from American punk rock legends The Offspring's 2026 Winter North American Tour East Coast run — Madison Square Garden in New York, TD Garden in Boston, and Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia all sold out in seconds, with scalped tickets surging to triple face value. As frontman Dexter Holland snarled into "Self Esteem," the entire arena — from Gen Z kids to gray-haired veterans — rose as one, voices united in anthem, lights and sweat colliding to resurrect the golden atmosphere of the nineties.

"Do you know this band? They're absolutely on fire right now!" the Argentine delegate asked.

Wang Guoquan-Prince John smiled calmly: "Old friends. I interviewed them in Paris last year."

Since their 1994 phenomenon Smash shattered sales records with over ten million copies, the band has moved more than 20 million albums worldwide. Tracks like "Come Out and Play" and "The Kids Aren't Alright" have become cross-generational anthems of rebellion. Three decades later, fueled by their new album SUPERCHARGED, their 2026 winter tour has exploded at the box office and across social media — the #TheOffspring hashtag has surpassed one billion views on TikTok — proving that punk spirit never expires. It remains the collective response of global youth to "refusing to age, refusing to compromise."

Watching the footage, Wang Guoquan-Prince John recalled his Parisian cultural odyssey: first, an invitation from Gao Chunfang — French-Chinese painter, adopted daughter of Soong Ching-ling, and President of the France-China Cultural Association — to the opening of the "Spring of Asia" exhibition at the Musée Cernuschi; then, participation in France's grand national commemoration of the World War I Armistice Day, invited by France Benevolence Group, France-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the French Foreign Legion Veterans Chinese Association. Beneath the Arc de Triomphe, he marched with head held high — positioned before the honor guard, behind the overseas Chinese contingent — a vision of unstoppable momentum. French President Emmanuel Macron also attended the series of commemorative events (though not on that specific day). Wang Guoquan-Prince John exchanged words with French five-star General Bruno Dary (former Foreign Legion commander) and General Jean Maurin (former Foreign Legion commander, now President of the Foreign Veterans Association), and though language and culture presented slight barriers, they lit the eternal flame together and spoke of China-France friendship, the fire illuminating the arch, symbolizing eternal peace.

Amid these weighty cultural and historical engagements, on the afternoon of November 7 — the day before The Offspring's concert at Paris's largest indoor arena, La Défense Arena — Wang Guoquan-Prince John conducted an exclusive interview with guitarist Noodles on the Champ de Mars lawn across from the Eiffel Tower. Noodles declared: "Rebellion isn't about age — it's about attitude. You burn for every day you're alive." Against the backdrop of cloud-streaked skies and the iron tower, the two stood shoulder to shoulder, punk philosophy colliding with Parisian romance, becoming the brightest moment of the journey.

"From the afternoon light at the Eiffel Tower to the breaks between sessions at the UN in New York," Wang Guoquan-Prince John concluded, "The Offspring's explosion isn't accidental. When an era of change needs an eternal beat, punk becomes the universal language that transcends borders and generations."
