昨日城隍庙门前路过，见庙前广场围栏停车，尽管到处挂着红灯笼，遗留着节日气氛，但仍给人有有寂寞的感觉，便口占了一首：
《广州城隍庙》
英德南邻
城隍庙外天放晴，
灯笼红火掩冷清，
一想两场欢庆日，
老爷安坐心更平。
注释：
城隍庙每年两次庆典活动，即：
庙会：正月十五；
城隍爷诞辰：七月二十四日
