保罗表示如果他在对手球队中，科比不可能拿到81分。保罗说：“那场比赛科比得了81分，这不可能发生在我所在的球队。我会被罚出场，要么就是犯规满6次离场。教练，我们在说什么呢？我才防守其他球员。我们会双人包夹他，逼迫他传球，让其他人去得分。”
