新华社华盛顿2月12日电 据美联社12日援引消息人士的话报道，美国已下令向中东地区派遣第二艘航空母舰。
另据《纽约时报》报道，“杰拉尔德·R·福特”号航空母舰及其护航舰艇已奉命从加勒比海开往中东地区，“预计到4月底或5月初方能返回母港”。报道援引消息人士的话说，舰上人员已于当天早些时候得知这一决定。
