当地时间1月15日，由OpenAI CEO阿尔特曼创立的Merge Labs宣布完成了一轮2.5亿美元的种子轮融资。据媒体援引知情人士透露，OpenAI在Merge Labs的种子轮融资中出资最多，当时Merge Labs的估值为8.5亿美元。Merge Labs表示，它打算“利用超声波等深层方式传递和接收信息”，而非侵入式脑机技术。
作为协议的一部分，OpenAI将与Merge Labs合作开发科学基础模型和其他前沿工具，以“加速进展”。
