Partnership Manager

Job Title: Partnership Manager

Reports to: Country Director, China

Reportees: N/A

Budget holder: Yes

Location: Beijing or other major cities

Global/Local: Local

Position Summary

Partnership manager plays a key role in increasing the support of partners to World Animal Protection by building relationships and exploring new opportunities from diverse sources. Partnership manager also works to increase the awareness of World Animal Protection’s work, aims, and mission.

Key Responsibilities

● Be authentic and genuine, actively seeking connections and nurturing relationships.

● Researching prospective partners who have the resources and willingness to support World Animal Protection’s work.

● Developing proposals that could attract partners and resources.

● Identifying and contacting potential partners.

● Keeping in touch with existing partners and stakeholders.

● Planning, organizing and executing events to promote partnerships and cooperations.

● Manage and mitigate evaluated risks under the guidance of the Country Director.

Key Skills

and Requirements

Essential

● Networking skills and access to numerous high value connections.

● Strong writing and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English.

● A motivated self-starter with ability to build and maintain relationships in professional settings.

● Ability to follow directions and can solve problems independently.

● Organizational skills and attention to details.

● Comfort with technology, including stakeholder/donor management systems.

● Willing and be able to work on the weekends and holidays when required.

● Honest and a high level of professional integrity.

● Bachelor’s degree or above from a credible university.

Desirable

● Overseas study or working experience.

● Knowledge of nonprofits and regulations surrounding donations.
