据 DL News 报道，2016 年 Bitfinex 比特币盗窃案黑客 Ilya Lichtenstein 已提前获释，其称得益于美国总统特朗普于 2018 年签署的《First Step Act》，该法案允许囚犯通过参与改造项目获得减刑。Lichtenstein 因协助洗钱近 12 万枚比特币（案发时价值约 45 亿美元）于 2024 年 11 月被判 5 年监禁，其妻 Heather Morgan（网名 Razzlekhan）因协助犯罪被判 18 个月，并已于 2025 年 10 月获释。
