欧盟委员会2025年12月31日发布新闻公告称，欧盟成员国保加利亚将于当地时间2026年1月1日0时，也就是北京时间2026年1月1日6时，正式加入欧元区，启用欧元作为该国法定货币。保加利亚此前使用的本国货币将随之退出流通。保加利亚于2007年加入欧盟。过去十多年来，加入欧元区一直被视为保加利亚政府的重要政策目标和优先事项。（央视新闻）
