On December 25, the 2025 Conference on High-quality Development of Low-altitude Economy in the GBA was held in Guangzhou. In the afternoon, the Symposium on Global Perspectives and University Initiatives for Low-Altitude Economy Development in the Greater Bay Area took place concurrently.
China's 15th Five-Year Plan marks an accelerated push for the development of strategic emerging industries, including new energy, new materials, aerospace, and the low-altitude economy. Currently, Guangdong's low-altitude economy has reached a trillion-yuan scale, with more than 15,000 related enterprises—accounting for over 30% of all companies across China's low-altitude economy industrial chain and ranking first nationwide.
Developing the low-altitude economy is a key direction for cultivating new quality productive forces in the GBA. As major platforms for cultivating talents in the low-altitude economy, universities serve as engines of technological breakthroughs, continuously injecting new momentum into the development of the Greater Bay Area.
