附近发生随机伤人事件，共造成包括行凶者在内的4人死亡，7人受伤。据界面新闻，台媒报道，台卫生福利部门12月20日临时召开记者会说明其中一名被砍伤民众为艾滋病感染者，该名伤者长期有在服药稳定控制，属于测不到的范围，不过仍提醒有接触到血液或喷溅到黏膜的民众，于72小时内尽速前往医院。（晨视频）
