12月14日，在2025年WTT香港总决赛颁奖仪式上，张本智和因现场喷出的金纸雨（礼花）受到惊吓，表现出明显慌乱，出现放下花束又急忙拿起的窘态。
这并非他首次在颁奖典礼上被类似场景吓到，此前在WTT横滨冠军赛时也有过相似反应。
