北京时间12月9日，近5轮英超仅仅取胜1场的曼联将会在联赛第15轮的比赛中做客挑战目前排名垫底，前14轮只拿到2分的狼队。
赛前根据统计，曼联在英超历史上一共只有8次输给过当轮比赛排名垫底的球队，不过其中的两场比赛他们不敌的垫底球队就是他们今天的对手狼队，而且两场比赛他们也都是客场作战，分别是2004年1月客场0-1输球以及2011年2月客场1-2失利。
