12月7日晚，为期八天的2025年成都国际乒联混合团体世界杯落下帷幕。决赛中，卫冕冠军中国队以8比1力克劲敌日本队，以11连胜的强势表现取得3连冠。
在最后第3盘的男单比赛中，林诗栋2比1战胜日本选手张本智和，为国乒拿下关键一分。在赛后采访中，林诗栋说：“感谢球队信任，让我在决赛中登场，没有让大家失望，感谢大家不远万里来成都看比赛。”
