北京时间12月6日，目前领跑积分榜的阿森纳即将在英超第15轮的比赛中做客挑战排名第三的阿斯顿维拉。
赛前根据统计，维拉前锋沃特金斯此前10次在英超联赛中对阵阿森纳打进6球，阿森纳也是他在英超进球第二多的对手，仅次于布莱顿(9球)。
在上轮维拉客场4-3战胜布莱顿的比赛中，此前18场英超比赛只打进两球的沃特金斯完成了梅开二度，状态回升。
