中美元首通话第二天（11月25日），美国总统特朗普与日本首相高市早苗通话，时长大约二十来分钟。日方消息称，当被问及“双方是否在通话中谈及其在国会发表的涉台错误言论”时，高市早苗未明确做出回答，仅表示，“细节不便透露”。不过高市确认，此次通话是特朗普方面提出的。
