据报道，丰田汽车11月12日在美国南部的北卡罗来纳州举行新电池工厂开业仪式，并宣布未来5年将向美国追加最多100亿美元的投资，此举旨在强化混合动力车（HV）等电动汽车的在美生产。加上此次的投资计划，丰田在美累计投资额预计达到约600亿美元。
