The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) kicked off on the morning of November 5 in Shanghai and will run through November 10.
Frederick Ma Si-hang, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council stated in the interview with SFC that Hong Kong has been a strong supporter of CIIE. Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has participated in the exhibition for eight consecutive years. This year, the number of exhibiting companies has grown to more than 300, with two pavilions, one for the services industry and another for the food industry.
He emphasized that Hong Kong serves as a role of "super connector", where Chinese mainland companies can leverage Hong Kong as a platform for overseas businesses.
