研究发现，饥饿时，人体更渴望吃到热食。首先，与生冷食物相比，热食散发出的气味分子明显更多，令人食欲大增。除了气味之外，饥饿时渴望热食还有另一个原因：大脑会在饥饿时发出摄入更多卡路里的信号。与冷食相比，热食才是提供能量的更优选择，因为热食可产生更多的净能量，食用后也比冷食的消化吸收率更高。
