9月29日，媒体人徐江透露，深圳新鹏城可能在近期换帅，有本土教练接任。
深圳新鹏城在中超联赛本赛季处境艰难，新帅穆尼奥斯上任后依然没有起色，目前，球队仅有20分，最后四轮要面对争冠强队，有降级的风险。
媒体人徐江表示：不出意外的话，深圳马上就会换帅了！本土教练救火。
此前，陈涛已经出任深圳新鹏城的助理教练。
