现年45岁的哈钦森曾经在横滨水手担任临时主帅，但是表现并不理想。本赛季接过磐田喜悦教鞭后，他曾带领球队打出一段时间的良好表现，但最近又遭遇了滑铁卢。
目前，磐田喜悦在日职乙14胜6平11负排名联赛第8位，距离附加赛区还落后2个积分。
