The 600-year-old Ningxia hand-woven carpets are a national intangible cultural heritage. In September, Wei Haiming, a representative inheritor, promoted them to participants from six countries. Made from Tan sheep wool through 14 processes, they were once tributes in the Ming Dynasty. Senior craftsmen uphold and pass on the craft, train apprentices, and drive villagers' employment and income growth. While facing inheritance challenges, they are attracting young people through innovative designs.
