9月23日，河南平顶山市湖光社区一商铺门口发生地面塌陷。附近商户表示，塌陷导致店门口的遮阳伞、空调外机等物品坠入坑中。
事发后，当地多部门到场处置，已设置围挡并展开抢修，湖光社区工作人员回应称，初步判断事故系“原来设计的出现一些问题”，但商铺内部结构未受影响，现场无人员伤亡，相关处置工作仍在进行中。
