15日午间，西贝针对预制菜事件发布了致歉信。
颇为引人关注的是，西贝在其官方微博于13:19发布道歉信后，旋即又将其删除，短短几分钟后便推出了新版致歉信。经对比不难发现，在原致歉信中引用的创始人贾国龙所言“顾客虐我千百遍，我待顾客如初恋”，在新版致歉信里，“虐”字被加上了双引号。
