这么一来，冰岛本次欧洲杯以0胜5负收官，又一次全败出局。这是冰岛队史第三次欧洲杯之旅，此前分别是2015年和2017年，也都是小组赛全败出局。
不过本次欧洲杯冰岛的表现还是不错的，输给比利时、波兰和斯洛文尼亚的比赛，分差都是个位数。
