9月1日晚，多名网友发视频称，当天上海虹桥到北京南G20次列车到达南京南站时出现故障，所有旅客同站台换车。2日，乘坐这趟高铁的严先生告诉记者，列车在南京南站停靠约1个小时后，旅客被告知由于车底故障需要换车，“当时车上基本满员，但是换车的时候很有秩序，不到5分钟就换完了。” 封面新闻记者 曹菲 编辑 周珂冰
