Just before bedtime,
a certain little boy
stands at the window
with his favourite toy.
就在睡前，
有一个小男孩站在窗前，

is looking through his telescope.
He looks at the sky
and the moon up there.
He looks left. He looks right.
He looks everywhere.
And this is what he sees.
Jumping jellyfish!
What’s that bobbing in the dark?
Could it be a great white shark?

蒂莫西·波普正在透过望远镜观察着。
他看向天空和上面的月亮。
他向左看，向右看，他四处张望。
这就是他所看到的。
是跳跃的水母！
黑暗中有什么东西在上下浮动？

A shark?
No, it’s not!
It’s the sail on a yacht!
鲨鱼？
不，那不是鲨鱼！
那是游艇上的帆！

looks again through his telescope.
He looks at the sky
and the moon up there.
He looks left. He looks right.
He looks everywhere.
And this is what he sees.
Stumbling starfish!
What’s that swishing through the dark?
Could it be a great white shark?
蒂莫西·波普再次透过望远镜观察。
他看向天空和上面的月亮。
他左右张望，
观察着每一个角落。
这就是他所看到的。
跌跌撞撞的海星！

Tim says,
“Silly me!
It’s a seagull with his tea!”
蒂姆说：“我真傻，
那是一只带着下午茶的海鸥！”

has one last look through his telescope.
He looks at the sky
and the moon up there.
He looks left. He looks right.
He looks everywhere.
And this is what he sees.
Quivering catfish!
What’s that lurking in the dark?
Could it be a great white shark?

他注视着天空和上面的月亮。
他向左看，向右看，
四处张望。

抖动着的鲇鱼！
黑暗中潜伏着什么呢？

Don’t worry Tim.
There’s no need to scream.
It isn’t a shark,
it’s a giant ice cream!
别担心了，蒂姆。
不需要尖叫。
因为那不是鲨鱼，
那是一个巨大的冰淇淋！
Tim says to his dad,
“I’m sure I’m right.
There are no sharks
in the dark tonight.”
蒂姆对他爸爸说：
“我相信我是对的。
今晚，海里没有鲨鱼。”
