福特8月11日宣布将投资约50亿美元，在美国肯塔基州路易斯维尔（Louisville）装配厂和密歇根州BlueOval电池产业园创造近4000个工作岗位，以生产新型皮卡和先进的棱镜LFP电池。福特的“通用电动汽车平台”将大规模生产一系列经济型车，第一款产品将是中型四门电动皮卡，目标起售价约为3万美元，在路易斯维尔组装厂组装，2027年交付客户。
