据美国媒体basketball insiders报道，中国球员杨瀚森在新赛季开始前还将回中国。伦纳德在开启中国行时，杨瀚森也将陪同回国，二人将一起出席活动。
此前有报道称，伦纳德的中国行时间定在8月24日，将前往四川成都。
