武汉大学研究团队在探讨CCL5/CCR5通路在视网膜神经节细胞损伤中的作用相关研究中，使用Rfect Prime转染试剂将靶向CCR5的siRNA转染到Neuro-2a细胞中进行敲低实验。qPCR结果显示，转染siRNA的实验组中CCR5的mRNA表达相比对照组可以被敲低60%左右，Western blot的结果也显示CCR5蛋白表达显著下调。
