A raincoat of palm fiber, a hat of layered bamboo leaves—long before plastic came along, these were the farmer’s faithful shields against the storm.
Scratchy, soaked, and heavy with time—the cape shed rain but never offered comfort. Dampness crept in, weighing the shoulders down, while the wind played tricks with the leaf-light hat, always ready to snatch it into the mud.
Now, they rest quietly in folk museumsor pose in nostalgic photos,no longer worn through wind and rain, but worn by memory—a glimpse of time walking gently through the drizzle.
