据德国《图片报》4日报道，西班牙伊比利亚航空公司一架崭新的空客A321NEOXLR客机8月3日在马德里上空遭遇惊魂时刻。报道称，这架载有182名乘客的飞机在起飞爬升阶段突遭秃鹫撞击，导致机鼻雷达整流罩粉碎且左引擎受损。最终飞机安全降落，机上乘客也安全撤离。
