巴西总检察长办公室当地时间7月31日公告称，已对淡水河谷提起诉讼，要求其赔偿20亿雷亚尔，原因是该公司在巴西米纳斯吉拉斯州可能存在非法采矿行为，导致公共财产遭受损害。公告称，该区域属于巴西联邦政府所有，淡水河谷无权在此开采铁矿石。
