新华社北京7月31日电（记者赵旭、吴文诩）记者从7月31日举行的北京市防汛救灾新闻发布会上获悉，北京近期强降雨已累计因灾死亡44人、失踪失联9人。
7月23日至29日，北京遭遇连续极端强降雨，密云、怀柔、延庆、平谷等山区受灾严重。当前，北京正全力开展救灾善后和恢复重建工作。
