北京时间7月28日，2025世界泳联世锦赛男子100米仰泳半决赛，中国选手徐嘉余53秒14排在小组第5，总成绩第11名，无缘晋级决赛。
半决赛，徐嘉余在第一组出战，前50米用时25秒53转身排在第四。之后徐嘉余一度下滑到第七，但最后时刻超越对手升至小组第五。
徐嘉余预赛以53秒73总排名第14位拿到半决赛资格，惊险晋级半决赛。此外，中国选手汪顺也出战了该项目，但预赛排在第27名遭到淘汰。
